Pulse Labs had a clear product vision — a simple, beautiful health tracker that got out of the user's way. What they needed was a team who could translate that vision into a native iOS app, fast.
We ran a two-week sprint to define core features, map user flows, and validate the information architecture with real users. Then we built. Eight weeks later, Pulse was live on the App Store.
The biggest technical challenge was HealthKit integration — reading from multiple data sources, normalising them, and presenting them in a way that felt instant. We built a local caching layer that made even the first load feel fast.
On the design side, the challenge was restraint. Every feature request was evaluated against one question: does this make the app simpler or more complex for the user? Most were cut.
